Welcome to KopaStay. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our platform. By accessing this website, you agree to be bound by these terms. KopaStay is a marketplace connecting tenants (primarily NYSC Corps Members) with verified landlords and roommates in Nigeria.
2. Eligibility and Account Registration
- You must be at least 18 years old to use this service.
- Users must provide accurate information during onboarding, including valid identification (NIN or NYSC Call-up Letter).
- KopaStay reserves the right to suspend accounts providing false or misleading information.
3. Platform Role and Limitation of Liability
Please read this section carefully.
KopaStay is a listing and discovery platform, not a real estate agency or property owner. We do not own, manage, or control the properties listed. KopaStay is not responsible for the physical condition of properties or the conduct of landlords/tenants. Users are advised to perform physical inspections before making rent payments.
4. Fees and Payments
Accessing landlord contact information requires a non-refundable service fee (e.g., ₦5,000). All payments are processed securely via Paystack. KopaStay does not store your card details.
5. Refund Policy (Credit System)
KopaStay operates a Credit-Only Refund Policy. No cash refunds will be issued.
If a listing is proven to be "Already Rented" or "Fraudulent" via our Report System, KopaStay will issue one (1) "Unlock Credit" to the user’s account.
6. User Conduct and Content
Landlords and Scouts must provide truthful descriptions and recent photos. Harassment of other users via the provided WhatsApp links is strictly prohibited and will lead to an immediate ban.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts.
